Jharkhand CM envisions smart villages with better infrastructure and education

CM Champai Soren lays foundation for 131 schemes worth over Rs 108 crore, aims to uplift tribals and indigenous people

Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren has outlined his vision for creating smart villages in the state, focusing on improving electricity, water, roads, education, and other infrastructure. He emphasized that the goal can only be achieved by strengthening the basic systems and implementing schemes effectively, aiming to make Jharkhand one of the leading states in the country.

CHAKULIA – On the occasion of laying the foundation stone for a degree college at Chakulia in East Singhbhum district, Chief Minister Champai Soren reiterated his government’s commitment to strengthening the social, economic, and educational system in the state at all costs.

He also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated a total of 131 schemes, amounting to more than Rs 108 crore.

Soren emphasized that the upliftment of all sections of the community, including tribals and indigenous people, is the priority of the state government.

He appealed to the people present to be aware of the schemes being run by the state government and recognize their rights and entitlements.

Improving education in government schools

The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to help students studying in government schools, with 80 schools of excellence already opened within the state.

He announced plans to upgrade 325 more model schools on the lines of private schools in the coming months, ensuring that children from poor, farmer, and labor class families can access quality education on par with private schools.

Encouraging higher education for poor students

Soren acknowledged that families often ask their children to leave their studies and work as laborers or in private institutions after passing the matriculation examination due to financial constraints.

“The state government is determined to change this situation,” he said.

The government aims to encourage poor students to pursue higher education through the Guruji Credit Card Scheme, alleviating worries about their financial situation.
