Blind National Football Winning Players Honored at Kiranmayee Jayanti Utsav in Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – As part of the year-long Kiranmayee Jayanti Utsav, celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of Kiranmayee Dey, renowned philanthropist Shekhar Dey of Bistupur Sreeleathers has honored the winners of the National Blind Football competition and many others with mementos on Saturday.

For the first time in Jamshedpur, the IBFF National Blind Football Tournament was held.

The seventh men’s and third women’s football competition took place at Tinplate Ground from May 17 to May 20.

The closing day featured matches between Maharashtra and Uttarakhand in the men’s competition and between Uttarakhand and Gujarat in the women’s competition, with Uttarakhand emerging victorious in both matches.

The winners and other participants were honored with mementos by Shekhar Dey, a renowned social worker and partner of the Sreeleathers family under the umbrella of the Kiranmayee Jayanti Utsav, a celebration of women empowerment, upliftment, and honor.

Kolhan’s Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ajay Linda, was present as the chief guest at this auspicious occasion.

Other special guests included social workers Bharat Singh, Shiv Shankar Singh, and Father Virendra from Vikas Bharti.

Prateek Sangharsh Foundation supported the organizers by providing breakfast for the players for one day, with their guide, Mr. Shekhar Dey, presenting the contribution.

Many members from the Divyang Guidance Trust, including Jagannath Behera, Dheeraj Kumar Sharma, Rajkumar Singh, Dr. Vijay Mohan Singh, Shyam Sharma, Moushumi Das, played pivotal roles in the successful organization of the event.
