Hemant Soren Could Not Stop Appointment of Teachers Despite Trying Hard: Raghubar Das

Former CM says Hemant Soren is seeking credit wrongly for something that his govt had done.

RANCHI – The former CM of Jharkhand Raghubar Das has expressed satisfaction on the Supreme Court’s order on high school teachers’ appointments. He said that Hemant Soren trying hard to stall it, but could not succeed.

He also flayed the current government for seeking credit for the teachers’ appointments, saying that it was something that came during his government’s tenure.

He said that the Supreme Court has intervened to ensure the appointment of high school teachers in Jharkhand, despite attempts by the Hemant Soren-led government to stall the process.

He said that the government’s efforts, perceived by many as anti-youth, have drawn criticism from numerous quarters.

Raghubar Das, the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, expressed his gratification towards the Supreme Court’s role in the matter, highlighting the contrast with the Hemant government’s lack of decisive action in court.

He also criticized the current government for politicizing the teacher recruitment process and attempts to suppress the BJP’s prior role in initiating it.

According to Das, the BJP government had started the recruitment process for 17,786 high school teachers in 2016 and had provided appointment letters to thousands of youths.

However, the process was delayed due to court proceedings.

When the Hemant government came into power, appointments were put on hold, and all related advertisements were ordered to be withdrawn.

In spite of the ongoing delays and obstacles posed by the Hemant government, the Supreme Court has finally ruled in favor of the candidates.

This outcome, viewed by Das as a “tight slap on the face of Hemant Sarkar by the youth”, has brought hope to many aspiring educators across the state.

Currently, thousands of candidates await appointment letters for positions such as Panchayat Secretary and Clerk, caught up in the Hemant government’s tactics of deferral and distraction. He said that the question now is whether the Hemant government will step up to rectify the delays or continue its obstructionist approach, compromising the future of Jharkhand’s youth.

Former CM Raghubar Das says Hemant Soren is seeking credit wrongly for appointment of teachers while this is something the credit for which should go to the youths.
