AITUC’s Labor Day bike rally in Jamshedpur highlights workers’ rights struggles and announces a movement to reclaim rights against government policies.
Jamshedpur – On Labor Day, the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) organized a massive bike rally in Jamshedpur to remember and pay tribute to martyred laborers.
The rally began at Barigora and concluded at the Shaheed Stambh in Sakchi, with hundreds of party cadres and workers participating.
Thakur said that the Labor Day bike rally aimed to raise awareness about the ongoing struggle for workers’ rights and encourage solidarity among workers and unions.
Ambuj Thakur, District General Secretary of AITUC, highlighted the historical struggles of workers in securing their rights, such as the eight-hour workday.
He criticized the current central government’s attempts to undermine these rights by increasing work hours to 12 per day.
In response, Thakur announced that AITUC would launch a vigorous movement to reclaim workers’ rights and oppose the government’s policies.
