AIDSO Protests for Improved College Bus Service in Jamshedpur

AIDSO protests in Jamshedpur for college bus services; demands 50% fare discount for urban students & dedicated routes for rural areas.

Jamshedpur – The All India Democratic Student Organization (AIDSO) staged a protest at the district headquarter in Jamshedpur yesterday, demanding the implementation of bus services for colleges throughout the city.

The organization claimed that the lack of bus service places a significant financial burden on students, particularly those from far-flung rural areas.

AIDSO has been persistently advocating for this issue, emphasizing the need for better transportation for students in Jamshedpur.

With many students traveling from distant rural areas to attend colleges in the city, the absence of dedicated bus services forces them to spend considerable amounts on transportation. Students within the city are also affected by the high costs of buses and auto-rickshaws.

To alleviate this financial burden, AIDSO is calling for a 50 percent discount on fares for students in urban areas and the initiation of bus services for those in rural zones.

The organization believes that these measures will increase accessibility to education and foster a more equitable learning environment for all students in Jamshedpur.
