Jamshedpur: The social and cultural organization of Jamshedpur, Naman, paid homage to the ace revolutionary of India Mangal Pandey on his death anniversary on Saturday.

The Senior General Manager of Tata Motors, Manas Mishra, and General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Sangh, Dr. D.P. Shukla, were among the guests who also joined in paying homage to the great hero of Sepoy Mutiny..

Speaking on the occasion, Mishra said that Mangal Pandey is the pillar of India’s freedom struggle and lit the flame of revolution in the hearts of Indians.

He challenged the entire British rule on the strength of his courage and conviction, Shukla added.

Gurmeet Singh Tote, President of Tata Motors Workers Union, said that every Indian feels proud while remembering Mangal Pandey, who would not accept anything less than an independent India.

Meanwhile, the founder of Aman, Amarpreet Singh, said that the grateful nation will always be indebted to the sacrifice of the immortal fighter.

The Naman members took an initiative to remind the younger generation about the sacrifices of martyrs, which is being successful in its purpose, said Amarpreet.

The sacrifice and dedication of the martyrs will continue to inspire all the countrymen for the service of the nation for ages.

The Naman members also took an oath to respect the national flag and martyrs, perform their duties for the upliftment of society and the nation, participate in a drug-free society, respect all sects, stay away from caste sentiment, think of collective interest instead of personal interest, honor the servants working in the service of the army and the nation, follow constitutional, civil rights and duties, and spread the message of patriotism, mutual brotherhood, love and harmony in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, and every corner of the country.
