New Delhi: India has reported yet another jump in Covid-19 cases with the country logging 6,050 new cases in the past 24 hours, as per the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday.

With this increase, India’s active Covid-19 caseload has gone up to 28,303, which is a jump of nearly 2,716 cases.

The rise in cases has prompted Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya to convene a review meeting with the health ministers of all states and Union Territories today to take stock of the situation and review the measures being taken to control the spread of the virus.

On a positive note, the nationwide vaccination drive continues to make progress, with a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses administered so far, including 95.21 crore second doses and 22.87 crore precautionary doses.

In the last 24 hours, 2,334 doses were administered across the country.
