Devotees throng mandirs on Maha Ashtami of Chaitra Navratra Durga Puja
Jamshedpur: Devotees thronged different Mandirs in the city on Wednesday on the occasion of Maha Ashtami of Chaitra Navratra Durga Puja.
There was a significant increase in the number of worshippers at various temples around the city.
People from all walks of life flocked to the temples to worship Maa Durga in her Mahagauri avatar and seek her blessings.
Crowds began to gather at several temples early in the morning to worship the goddess. It is believed that worshiping Mata in her Mahagauri form will make one’s home happy and peaceful. Since early in the morning, the followers have been fasting and engrossed in Mata’s puja.
When worshippers offered the goddess flowers, prasad, and other offerings, a spirit of devotion and faith permeated the space in mandirs..
The air was filled with the music of bhajans and songs, and the temples were decked with brilliant lights and ornaments.
