Jamshedpur: Anish Verma, 33, a resident of Bagbera, Jamshedpur and a Jaguar jawan undergoing training in Lesliganj, Palamu has allegedly committed suicide.
However, his parents have alleged foul play and are demanding that his post mortem be videographed under the watch of a magistrate.
They have also demanded a high-level enquiry committee to probe the reasons for his death.
Anish was in the Indian Reserve Battalion and was on deputation in Jharkhand Jaguar for fighting against extremists.
He has been undergoing training in JAP-08 premises in Lesliganj, Palamu since January 23.
According to information received, after Anish Verma passed away while undergoing training in Palamu, Jharkhand, his family has alleged foul play and demanded a thorough inquiry.
It is learnt that Jaguar jawan Anish was admitted to MMCH Hospital for treatment, however he tragically passed away at that time.
According to family members Anish had raised complaints against lack of facilities in the camp and that this had not gone down well with the authorities.
According to the family members, Anish allegedly had an argument with an officer on March 13..
The next morning, Anish’s body was found hanging, and his transportation to the hospital allegedly took longer than expected.
Anish’s mother and family members have called for a high-level investigation and charged camp authorities with harassment and abetment.
Anish was married in 2021 and had a young daughter, and his family is calling for his post-mortem to be videographed under the supervision of a magistrate.
