Congress planning Bharat Jodo Yatra Phase-2 from East to West
The Congress leadership is thinking of starting the second phase of Bharat Joro Yatra.
Congress recently made a long march from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu in the south to Srinagar in Kashmir in the north. The team wants to make a second journey after the success of that journey.
The proposed journey would be from Arunachal Pradesh in the east to Gujarat in the west. Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh revealed this information at the general session of the Congress in Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur on Sunday.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s speech in the session included Bharat Jodo Yatra.
He called that long journey as ‘penance’ and said that he wants to take that ‘penance’ further.
After Rahul’s speech, Jairam Ramesh told the media that a second journey like the first is being thought of.
It could be from Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh in the East to Porbandar in Gujarat in the West.
However, the character of the second Bharat Jodo Yatra will be slightly different from the first one, he said, adding that everyone in the team is very interested. Everyone wants to start another journey. That is why this east-west journey has been thought of, he added.
