India beat Kangaroos in Nagpur test, take 2-0 lead

Cummins’ Australia lost the Nagpur Test in three days. Aussies already faced the irony of a 6-wicket loss in the Delhi Test. Like the first Test, Cummins lost the second Test in three days. India took a 2-0 lead in the 4-Test series.

Australia lost 8 wickets for just 28 runs in the first session of the third day on Sunday. Aussies were bowled out for 113 in their second innings by Jadeja’s spin Velki.

Aussy downfall started on day three when he lost to Travis Head. He was the victim of Ashwin by scoring 43 runs. Then Steven Smith is also his victim. When Smith got out, the scoreboard read 85 for 3. Which was not bad at all considering the spin assisted wicket and match conditions.

After that, Australia’s innings ended with only 28 runs added to Jadeja’s spin. Ajira has lost four wickets for 95 runs without scoring a single run. Jadeja took all 3 of them. Apart from Travis Head 43 and Marnus Labuschon 35, no one reached double figures. Ravindra Jadeja took the maximum 7 wickets alone for India. Besides, Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets.

Earlier in the first innings of the Delhi Test, India scored 262 runs in response to Akshar Patel’s batting tenacity. Ajira took a 1-run lead in the first innings, leaving India with a target of 115 runs to win. India took it by losing 4 wickets.

India’s opener Lokesh Rahul (1) came back to chase runs for 6 runs. Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara pulled the team from there. At one point Rohit batted aggressively as the ball was turning. He scored 31 runs in 20 balls with 3 fours and two sixes.

After that, Pujara started pulling Kohli to the team. 30 runs came in the third wicket pair. Kohli could not go far on the day he reached 25,000 runs in international cricket. Virat scored 20 runs in 31 balls before returning to the dressing room after being stampeded.

Shreyas Iyer also returned to bring quick runs. He contributed 12 runs in the team’s 88 runs. Then Pujara and Srikar left the field winning the team. Pujara remained unbeaten on 31 off 74 balls with 4 fours. With him, Srikar remained unbeaten on 23 runs off 22 balls, 3 fours and 1 six.

Earlier, on the first day of the second Test, Australia’s first innings ended with 263 runs. Team India’s star pacer Mohammad Shami took four wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets each. India’s first innings ended in the third session of the second day.
