Scaloni is staying with Argentina & Messi

Lionel Scaloni, who took over in 2018, had a contract with the Argentina Football Association (AFA) until the World Cup in Qatar. However, even after the World Cup, Scaloni will remain in the dugout as Argentina’s coach.

No official announcement has been made yet. However, both parties verbally agreed to it. Regarding the retention of Scaloni, FA president Claudio Tapia said, ‘Scaloni is the coach of the Argentina national team. Neither of us mince words. We agreed verbally.’

It was under Scaloni that Argentina ended a 28-year drought by winning the Copa America last year.

The 44-year-old coach, who recently won the World Cup with his disciples, is currently busy celebrating. He is traveling to different places. The new contract will be formalized when Scaloni returns after the holidays. His current contract runs until December 31.

Lionel Scaloni made Argentina the world champion as the third coach after Luis Menotti, Carlos Bilardo. So his name will be written in golden letters in the history of the country.
