Sakchi police seize gutkha worth Rs. 4 lakh, one arrested

Jamshedpur: Sakchi police raided a house at Kashidih and seized gutkha worth Rs. 4 lakh stored there in an illegal manner.

According to police sources, a house at Kashidih Line No. 7 was raided and searched by Sakchi police Tuesday.

The police found a significant amount of gutkha illegally kept there.

In this case, the police have also taken one person into custody.

The sacks full of gutkha were taken to the police station after being seized by the police. According to the information, the police received a tip-off about a house on Kashidih Line No. 7 where Gutkha was being stored in an illegal manner.

A police team arrived at the location after receiving the information, and raids were carried out. A bag of branded gutkha was found during the raid.

About 40 bags of prohibited gutkha, with an estimated market value of Rs. 4 lakh have been found by the police and were seized.

For now, the police are still investigating the matter.
