Police trying hard to crack Jugsalai Ram Tekri Road heist case

Police are interrogating a few suspects and are trying to crack the Jugsalai heist case. Chamber of Commerce office-bearer Sanwarlal Sharma’s office was targeted on Sunday by 2 unidentified criminals. Police are examining CCTV footage and are seeking help of technical cell.

Jamshedpur: City police are interrogating a couple of suspected accused in the Jugsalai Ram Tekri Road loot case and are examining CCTV footage to find a clue about the culprits involved in the Sunday heist.

The SSP Dr. M Tamil Vanan assured a delegation of Chamber of Commerce that the police would soon crack the heist case and would be able to recover the looted amount by arresting the culprits.

The delegation comprising the Honorary Secretary Manav Kedia and VP Nitesh Dhoot and others urged the SSP to curb the rise in the number of thefts and loots in the city in the recent times.

Two unidentified criminals had looted Rs. 9.83 lakh Sunday from the office of Chamber of Commerce office-bearer Sanwarlal Sharma in Ram Tekri Road Jugsalai. The miscreants managed to escape.

A few suspects have been rounded up and are being interrogated. The technical cell of the police is trying to nab the persons involved in the crime

The latest heist has come as a big challenge for the city police. In a way, the criminals have challenged the police and have carried out a loot of 9.83 lakh at the work office (gaddi) of Chamber of Commerce Industry Secretary Sanwarlal Sharma.

The two criminals also assaulted the employees by flouting their firearm and then carried out the loot.

Sanwar Lal Sharma deals in scrap. One of the employees, Bajrang Lal Sharma, was first assaulted and was locked in the room. The criminals fished out their weapon and beat him again. They took out Rs. 9.83 lakh kept in an almirah, snatched his mobile and then locked him in a room before decamping.

Injured Bajrang Lal Sharma shouted for help. Hearing his cry for help, the locals opened the door and took him out.

On getting information about the incident, the office-bearers of the Chamber reached the site and informed about it to the senior police officers of the district.

Both the SSP of the district and the City SP had reached the site of occurrence and had launched the investigation.

The SSP Dr. M. Tamil Vanan on Sunday had said that the criminals must have used a bike in the narrow lanes.

He said that the technical cell has been put on job to examine the CCTV footage and expressed hope that the culprits would soon be arrested and the money looted would be recovered.
