JAMSHEDPUR – A police operation, led by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed under the directive of SSP Kishore Kaushal and led by City SP Mukesh Lunayat, has led to the arrest of four suspects connected to the audacious heist at MB Jewellers.

The individuals who were arrested, namely Rishiraj alias Mitthu Soni, Govinda Paswan, Rahul Sharma, and Abhishek Gupta, are all from the Chainpur police station area in Palamu district.

Recovered: Looted Gold and Weapons

The authorities have managed to recover the stolen gold, which weighed around 431.73 grams after being melted down, along with Rs 50,000 in cash from the suspects. The police confiscated a carbine along with two magazines, three pistols, and 17 cartridges from the criminals.

Important evidence, such as the motorcycle involved in the robbery, has been found with the suspects, which adds more weight to the case against them.

Jewelry and weapons found hidden in Ranchi

The investigation by the SIT resulted in the discovery of the stolen jewelry, which had been hidden in Baksha Gali, Tirul Road, Ranchi. In addition, it was found that a carbine and two pistols were concealed in Tharpakhna, Ranchi.

A police officer disclosed that the criminals targeted MB Jewellers for the robbery because of its convenient location on the main road, which allowed for a speedy getaway via Marine Drive.

"Following the robbery, they quickly made their way to Ranchi, where they discreetly disposed of the stolen jewelry and securely stashed their weapons before going their separate ways."

Two additional suspects remain at large.

According to the police, it has been discovered that two additional individuals are connected to the robbery, and they are currently working diligently to capture them.

The suspects who were arrested have also confessed to their participation in another significant robbery in Garhwa district, shedding light on the scope of their criminal endeavors.

As the investigation continues, the police are optimistic about soon capturing the remaining suspects, providing a sense of resolution to this widely publicized case.
