Surya Mandir Committee to provide puja materials to devotees on ‘2nd Somwar of Sawan’

Jamshedpur: An important meeting of the Surya Mandir Committee was held at Sidgora. The meeting was presided over by Chandragupta Singh, the patron and co-founder of the Surya Mandir Committee.

During the meeting on Saturday, all the office bearers of the Mandir committee jointly decided to perform Jalabhishek on the premises of the Surya mandir on the 2nd Monday of Sawan.

The program will be organised according to the lockdown guidelines.

During the meeting, Chandragupta Singh, said that every year hundreds of devotees reach Siddhgora temple premises for Jalabhishek every Monday in the month of Sawan .

But ever since the pandemic. there has been a ban on crowding in the temple. So this year, the temple committee has decided to organise Jalabhishek, following the guidelines of the government.

Mr.Singh said that on the third Monday of Sawan, devotees will take water from the well and perform Jalabhishek in the Maha Shiv mandir and also in Ram mandir within the Surya Mandir Complex.

Afterwards, while performing aarti to Bhagwan Shiva, puja will be offered by the devotees to drive away the corona epidemic from the whole country.

The patron of the committee, Chandragupta Singh said that free flowers, bel leaves, puja material will be made available to the devotees by the Surya Mandir Committee at 7 am.

He said that there is an appeal to the devotees to participate in the Jalabhishek while following all social distancing norms.
