Woman arrested with brown sugar in Adityapur

40 packets of brown sugar, bike, mobile phone recovered.

Adityapur: Acting on a tip-off, Adityapur police have arrested a woman with 40 packets of Brown Sugar from an area near Imli Chowk under the jurisdiction of Adityapur police station of Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

During interrogation, the woman identified herself as a resident of Kitadih Mazar area.

The police have recovered 40 packets of Brown Sugar and a bike as well as a mobile phone from the possession of the woman.

After interrogation, the police sent the woman to judicial custody on Wednesday.

Giving information about the arrest, Adityapur police station in-charge said that during a patrol, the accused was seen trying to escape after seeing the police approach her.

After this the police got suspicious and chased and caught her.

They found 40 packets of brown sugar in her possession and also recovered a bike and a mobile phone from her.

On the other hand, the arrested woman was also on the radar of Parsudih police in connection with a case of sale of brown sugar.
