Truck helper dies due to electrocution at Hata

Jamshedpur: The helper of a truck died due to electrocution while he was sleeping at night at roadside on the highway.

His truck was parked outside Sahai Sponge Company located at Hata under the jurisdiction of Potka police station.

According to information received, 21-year-old Ujjwal Mahto, a resident of Purulia in West Bengal, got electrocuted after coming in contact with a 11000v wire Saturday night.

The incident was reported to Potka police. The police reached the site and took the injured to MGM Hospital for treatment.

However, he died before reaching the hospital.

The relatives of the deceased reached MGM Hospital Sunday morning.

The family was in a shock. The police sent the body for post-mortem.

The police are still investigating as to how the incident happened.
