90 new cases in Jharkhand, total infected tally crosses 1500

Ranchi: Jharkhand has witnessed a huge increase in the number of Corona positive cases in the state as the total tally of infected patients reached 1513. On Wednesday alone, 90 new patients have tested positive. On the other hand, the number of deaths has reached eight.

90 new positive cases in Jharkhand on Wednesday has caused a wave of concern in the government circles. Out of these, 31 patients belong to Simdega, 13 are from Pakur, 12 from Kodarma, 7 each from palm, Hazaribagh and East Singhbhum, five each from Lohardagga and Chatra, 2 from Khunti and one from Jamtara.

The sharp rise in the number of positive cases has underlined the fact that the norms of hygiene and social distancing are not being followed by a large number of people.

While the lockdown has been relaxed, it is feared that the number of patients may rise further in the days to come cause duress for the entire health sector in the state.
