City pays homage to former Dy CM late Sudhir Mahato on birth anniversary
Jamshedpur: JMM leaders, workers and supporters across the state and the city paid rich tributes to the former Dy CM of Jharkhand, late Sudhir Mahato on his 65th birth anniversary.
Tributes were paid to him at different places according to the government social distancing guidelines on Friday. Workers and leaders of JMM paid homage to him at Kadma Sudhir Mahato Stadium, Bistupur Garage, Sakchi Office, besides at all the block and panchayat level offices of the party.
On this occasion, JMM leaders along with family members and supporters paid tribute to him by remembering him.
Late Sudhir Mahto’s wife and MLA of Ichagarh, Savita Mahto said that her entire family has been associated with the Jharkhand movement.
She remembered her late husband and paid tributes to him. Expressing her gratitude to the people of Jharkhand and the people of Ichagarh, Mrs. Mahto said that the dream of development of Ichagarh and Jharkhand of her late husband would be fulfilled at any cost. .
At the same time, late Sudhir Mahato’s nephew and JMM leader Laltu Mahato also remembered him by paying homage to the statue of Late Sudhir Mahato, and called his maternal uncle’s role in the Jharkhand movement as very important.
He said that his family actively participated in the Jharkhand movement.
Sudhir Mahato was the younger brother of late Nirmal Mahato. After the formation of a separate state of Jharkhand, he became the Deputy CM of Jharkhand, he won the elections many times from the Ichagarh assembly seat.
MLA Ramdas Soren said that Sudhir Mahto was a hardworking and brilliant leader of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.
He said that the party has suffered a lot due to his untimely demise. In East Singhbhum district, all the leaders and workers of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will follow the path shown by him and complete his unfinished mission.
