Former ADC H N Ram is no more

Antim Sanskar on Sunday at Parvati Ghat, Antim Yatra to begin at 10.30 a.m. from residence

Jamshedpur: Harinagaryan Ram (67), the former ADC of East Singhbhum and a very popular administrative officer during his tenure, is no more.

He died at 6.30 pm on Saturday at Tata Main Hospital. He was battling cancer for some time and was seriously ill for the last few days. He was undergoing treatment in the hospital’s CCU. He is survived by wife Mrs. Daya Rai, son Dr. Archis Mann.

Antim Sanskar would take place on Sunday at Parvati Ghat. Antim Yatra would begin at 10.30 a.m. from his residence.

HN Ram started his government service with Bihar Public Service. After the formation of Jharkhand, he had decided to remain in the Jharkhand. He retired from the service of the Government of Jharkhand.

Special connection with East Singhbhum

HN Ram had a special connection with East Singhbhum. He was the Sub-Divisional Officer of Ghatshila and Dhalbhum. Later, he became the ADC of East Singhbhum. Then, he was also the Secretary of AIADA. He was also Additional and Special Secretary of the Finance Department in Ranchi.

After retiring from his job, he decided to stay in Jamshedpur. He was a resident of Haven Palace, Hariom Nagar, Adityapur.

Late H N Ram was particularly known for his brilliance and scholastic approach. He was a well-known scholar and writer too. He had deep knowledge of history.

He used to credit his teacher Prof. Awadhesh of MS College, Motihari, Bihar, for his scholastic bent of mind. Ram was a native of the Motihari in Bihar. He has also written several books and has addressed several seminars.

Owing to his vast experience and smart decision-making, even new IAS officers consulted him on different issues.

He also had a keen interest in social service. He was always ready to help the poor and helpless.

Late H N Ram also founded an NGO named Vardan Jyoti, through which he helped financially in the treatment of hundreds of poor families.
