Traffic dept launches drive against wrong parking, imposes fine on errant drivers

Jamshedpur: Traffic Department of Jamshedpur has launched an intensive drive against wrong parking in the entire city. The Dy SP of the district, Babban Singh, is leading this drive himself.

On Friday, the drive was carried out on the main roads near district headquarters in Sakchi. The Dy SP and his team imposed fines on the vehicles parked wrongly at the road side.

Normally, people park their cars and other vehicles on the road itself and go here and there. This despite the fact that JNAC has made arrangements for parking on payment basis in different areas of the city.

Illegal and parking at the road side causes traffic snarls and creates problems for other driers.

The district administration has been dealing strictly with those who are found to have parked their vehicles wrongly and the department is also imposing fines on such people.

The Traffic Dy SP Babban Singh has appealed to the citizens to ensure that they park their vehicles only at the designated places and not randomly anywhere on the roads.
