Coronavirus spares Jamshedpur on Friday, total deaths 368

25 new infection cases, recovery rate 96%, mortality rate 2.2%, positivity rate 4.8%

Jamshedpur: No lives were lost due to coronavirus in Jamshedpur on Friday. The total death toll for the city remains at 368. On Thursday coronavirus had claimed 1 life. However, on Friday, it spared the city any casualty.

According to official data, on Friday 25 fresh coronavirus infection cases were detected. With that, the total number of coronavirus infections in East Singhbhum district has reached 16,531.

On the other hand, 47 patients have also recovered and they were discharged from different hospitals of the city and home quarantine.

As per the official data, East Singhbhum district has tested 3,44,110 samples till Friday. Out of these, 3,27,579 samples have tested negative, while 16,531 samples have tested positive.

For now, the district has a total of 285 active coronavirus infection cases.

The recovery rate for the district remains at 96%, while the mortality rate too is stable at 2.2%. Positivity rate is 4.8% for the district ill Friday.
