The situation in the Makdampur area under Parsudih of East Singhbhum district in Jamshedpur continues to worsen. Persistent rainfall and a blocked main railway drain have led to the submergence of the entire area, creating a flood-like situation.
JAMSHEDPUR – In Makdampur, under the Parsudih area of East Singhbhum district, more than fifty homes have been affected by rising water levels due to recent rainfall and a blocked main railway drain. This has led to flood-like conditions in Mahtopara and other areas of Makdampur.
On Sunday, Kunal Sarangi, the founder of the local social organization Namya Smile Foundation and former MLA, visited the flood-affected areas. He met with local residents to understand their challenges and the conditions resulting from the flooding. The organization also set up a relief camp in the flood-affected area of Mahato Pada, where they distributed prepared meals.
Sarangi himself helped serve food to the affected people, along with members of the organization. He has also spoken with the Secretary of the State Disaster Management Department, informing them of the flood-induced problems and urging them to ensure that government-provided compensation is swiftly delivered to the affected families.
He assured that the organization would continue providing food to people in the flood-hit areas in the coming days and appealed to the public to stay cautious.
