Coronavirus claims 5 more lives on Tuesday in Jharkhand, total deaths now 891

Ranchi: Coronavirus has claimed 5 more lives in Jharkhand on Tuesday. With this, the total number of deaths caused by the virus has now reached 891.

On Tuesday, 397 new cases of coronavirus infection were also detected in the state. On the other hand, 490 patients were declared cured and were discharged from different hospitals of the state. 5 persons have succumbed to the virus in different parts of the state.

According to the official data, a total of 34,61,834 samples have been tested in the state. Out of these, 1,02,887 positive cases have been found.

However, 96,975 patients have already been cured and discharged from different hospitals and home quarantine.

At present, the state has 5,021 active cases of virus infection. There has been a lull on the virus front during the last week. However, the figures of death as well as new infections have once again begun rising and this is a trend that may worry the experts.
