Rift in Kendriya Durga Puja Samity, president terms Sep 28 meet illegal

Jamshedpur: A rift has surfaced in Jamshedpur Kendriya Durga Puja Samity as the President of the Samity C N Banerjee today declared the meeting held on September 28th by General Secretary Rambabu Singh as illegal. He also said all the decisions taken on that day have been scrapped as the meeting itself was unconstitutional as it was convened without informing the President of the committee.

In a press conference held today, the president of Kendriya Durga Puja Samity C N Banerjee said that according to the rules of the Samity, the president has to preside over all the meetings and the executive committee has to act to implement all the programmes.

He said that in an executive committee meeting held on October 1, an unanimous decision was taken to void all the acts done against the rules and regulations of the samity.

He said that the executive also took a decision to take legal action if needed in this matter.
