Lions Femina members share joyous moments on I-day with Shishu Niketan children
Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Lions Femina celebrated Independence Day on Saturday with the children of Shishu Niketan.
Shishu Niketan is a shelter for orphan children and it is run by AIWC.
Members of Lions Femina spent some quality time with the children of Shishu Niketan and also organised art and craft competition for the children.
The art and craft competition was organised by the Chairman of the Club Sarika Singh.
She organised “Bharat Meri Shan” competition and the children participated in it with curiosity and vigour.
Children also participated in dance and singing programmes.
Seema and Anupama were declared first in the competition.
Sweets and gifts were distributed among the children on behalf of the club.
The judge for the competition was Suman Singh.
The club secretary Suchitra Rungta also distributed masks among the children.
Sarika Singh told the children about the importance of August 15 in our lives and told them to be self-dependent.
Birth day of a child, Sunita, of Shishu Niketan was also celebrated on the occasion.
