Jharkhand CM’s appeal to BCCI for Dhoni’s farewell match wins hearts, but will Dhoni agree?

Ranchi: The emotional appeal of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren to BCCI to organise a farewell match for Indian cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni soon after the announcement of his retirement has found favour with millions of cricket fans. But there are many who feel that things may not work in that way as Dhoni is unlikely to relent after having taken such a considered decision.

There are many who want to see Dhoni once more.

And there are some who are sad that he did not get a grand farewell that he deserves.

There were many who want to see him in blue jersey again on the soil of Jharkhand.

There are many who feel that he should be given a farewell match like Sachin so that his fans could give him a grand farewell.

However, there are many who feel that Dhoni is unlikely to play another match after having announced his retirement. They feel that those who are demanding for a farewell match for him perhaps do not know the LEGEND well.

He is Dhoni after all, not anybody else on the streets.

His instinctive, but well thought-out, decisions and judgments are legendary and it would be futile to call for a farewell as he was unlikely to play again.

They only feel stumped-out by Dhoni’s quiet decision to retire
