Health Minister Banna Gupta unfurls tricolour at Gopal Maidan

Gap in what Narendra Modi says and does, Hemant Soren will fulfil Ram Rajya dreams

Jamshedpur: 74th Independence Day was celebrated in the city with fervour and joy, albeit in somewhat muted manner due to Covid-19 situation.

The traditional flag-hoisting programme was organised at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.

The state Health Minister Banna Gupta hoisted the tricolour on the occasion.

He also addressed a small gathering at the place.

Addressing the Independence Day flag-hoisting programme at Gopal Maidan, he said: “Many years back when I saw unfurling of the tricolour at Gopal Maidan, even I used to dream of doing the same. And the time has come that I too have got this opportunity to hoist the national tricolour here.”

He also launched an attack on Prime Minster Narendra Modi. He said: “Once Narendra Modi had said that he would think that development has been achieved only when people wearing slippers start travelling by air. But, there is a difference between what he says and what he does.”

He went on by adding: “The Chief Minister Hemant Soren has fulfilled such dreams of the workers wearing slippers, when he brought them back from other states to their own state.”

The Health Minister also mentioned Ram Rajya and the character of Bhagwan Ram. He said that Bhagwan Ram belongs to everyone and the state’s Chief Minister Hemant Soren would fulfil the dream of Ram Rajya.

The DC and SSP accompanied the Health Minister in the flag-hoisting programme.
