Sushant Singh Rajput death case handed to CBI

No protection to Rhea for now, Maha Govt asked to put on record all probe details within 3 days

Jamshedpur: The Centre has informed the Supreme Court that it has handed over the Sushant Singh Rajput death case to CBI.

The Single-member SC bench of Justice Hrisheksh Roy in his order gave the Maharashtra government and the police 3 days to put on record all details of the probe into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise.

The SC also refused to grant protection to Rhea Chakraborty from any coercive action and said that the matter would be taken up for hearing again next week.

Justice Roy assured that the concern raised by the late actor’s family members about the Mumbai police destroying evidence would be taken care of.

Meanwhile, the SC has been informed by the Centre that Sushant case has been handed over to CBI.

The Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Centre, informed the SC that the CBI had already accepted the Bihar government’s request for a probe by the Central agency into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Senior advocate Shyam Divan represented Rhea Chakraborty and senior advocate Mukul Rohatagi appeared for the Bihar government.
