MEDININAGAR – For the upcoming assembly elections, authorities in Medininagar have bolstered security with the deployment of 59 companies from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and additional Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) at sensitive polling centers throughout the district.
In an effort to maintain order and safety, officials confirmed that CAPF units including CRPF, CISF, RAF, and Chhattisgarh Police are strategically placed. Each Quick Reaction Team is led by a dedicated officer who will patrol key areas, ensuring rapid response to any incidents.
“All sensitive polling stations have CAPF personnel assigned to keep the peace and ensure fair voting,” stated an official source.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Jaguar and Cobra teams have also been assigned to monitor areas of concern. Each security unit has been equipped with five motorcycles to increase patrol mobility, and all QRT officers will actively oversee the situation on the ground.
Enhanced Measures at State Borders and Control Center
Particular focus has been given to the inter-state border areas like Hariharganj, where eight polling booths are located. Security forces have been positioned to ensure no disruptions, with the added presence of Quick Reaction Teams to address any emerging situations.
To coordinate these efforts, a 24-hour control room has been set up at the Block B Collectorate. This center is staffed with 20 personnel who will track and report developments, facilitating timely communication with senior officials.
The SP emphasized the importance of ongoing border vigilance to curb any unauthorized movement from Bihar, which borders the district. Additionally, officials are conducting random inspections at hotels, marriage halls, and other venues across the district to prevent any untoward incidents.
Health and Safety Protocols
To prioritize the well-being of personnel, all security teams have been provided with medical kits. Furthermore, law enforcement has been advised to offer full assistance to voters arriving at the polls.
"It’s essential to ensure that voters feel safe and supported while casting their ballots," stated the SP, adding that voters’ convenience and safety are top priorities.
Strict guidelines are also in place prohibiting any form of videography or photography within the polling booths. Patrols will continue throughout voting day to keep an eye on developments, further strengthening the robust security arrangements.
