Deepak Prakash calls on Saryu Roy, thanks him for support in Rajya Sabha elections

Jamshedpur: After winning the Rajya Sabha election from Jharkhand with maximum votes, BJP state president Deepak Prakash today visited Saryu Roy’s residence with family and sought his blessings for a successful tenure in the upper House of Parliament.

Deepak Prakash won the election to Rajya Sabha owing to the support from Saryu Roy. He, in turn, visited his house to thank him and expressed his appreciation for the gesture.

It may be mentioned here that Saryu Roy was quite open in supporting Deepak Prakash’s candidature and he had minced no words in expressing his support for the BJP state president.

The chit-chat and the personal rapport between the two leaders has added grist to the political rumour mills and there are many who feel that this may be an indication of Saryu Roy’s change of political course in the near future.

The respect and courtesy being shown to Saryu Roy by senior BJP leaders, included Babulal Marandi, the leader of opposition in Assembly and MP Nishikant Dubey has drawn the attention of political analysts and there are many who feel that it is a matter of time before Saryu Roy considers joining his former party.
