Public outrage against China spills on streets

Jamshedpur: Chinese products were burnt by hundreds of BJP workers and citizens at Mango Chowk here on Wednesday.

The agitators protested against the bloodshed in Ladakh instigated by the Chinese troops resulting in the death of 20 Indian soldiers. They were led by senior BJP leader Jata Shankar Pandey.

Other agitators included general secretary Kanhaiya Ojha, Sanjay Singh, Chhote Lal Singh, Ajit Singh, Niranjan Jha, Vikas Jaisawal, Umesh Singh, Bijay Soy, Vishnu Pramanik, Santosh Pandit, Sanjeet Sharma, Vijay Kumar Gond, Niranjan Jha, Samar Jha and Bablu Nayak.

On social media too the call for boycott of all Chinese goods are getting stronger with many calling for a complete ban on all the imports from China. There are many who feel that the balance of trade has been titled in China’s favour to the detriment of Indian interests and it is the right time to correct the situation.

The mood of the public is likely to turn against China more and more in the days to come.
