East Singhbhum DC Calls for Vigilance Against Dengue

East Singhbhum’s Deputy Commissioner urges citizens to follow guidelines to curb the alarming rise in dengue and other mosquito-borne illnesses.

JAMSHEDPUR – Manjunath Bhajantri, the Deputy Commissioner for East Singhbhum, has urged the district’s citizens to follow the instructions in order to stop the alarming rise in dengue and other illnesses spread by mosquitoes.

He said, "Vigilance and awareness are the only ways to stop the spread of dengue. To stop the spread of this disease, the government and the populace must work together.”

DC Manjunath Bhajantri gave the Health Department’s representatives orders to visit villages and educate the populace about the dangers of stale and stagnant water building up in old containers, tires, and other sources of accumulation, as well as to implement anti-larvae measures in affected and potential areas.

Awareness and Prevention Measures

Infected Aedes mosquito bites are the main method of transmission for dengue and chikungunya.

Dengue or Chikungunya might result from disregarding a high temperature, joint, or muscle ache.

It was advised to seek emergency medical assistance if these symptoms manifested.

The staff of the health department has been instructed to advise both urban and rural inhabitants to take the required precautions to stop mosquito breeding around their houses and the spaces surrounding them.

Prevention Strategies

Clean water is ideal for the Aedes mosquitoes that transmit Dengue and Chikungunya.

To stop their development, cover containers, water tanks, and other vessels.

Keep the home’s surroundings tidy.

Sleep in screened-in areas or inside mosquito nets.

Wear complete body coverage since Aedes mosquitoes attack throughout the day.

Treatment for dengue or chikungunya fever does not include a particular drug.

Consult a doctor right away if you notice any Dengue or Chikungunya symptoms.
