Indian Railways Launches Bharat Gaurav Train Yatra for Boosting Tourism

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited, a branch of Indian Railways, introduces Bharat Gaurav Train Yatra under “Apna Desh”, covering significant pilgrimage sites in India.

JAMSHEDPUR – Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, has launched the Bharat Gaurav Train Yatra under its “Apna Desh” initiative.

This initiative aims to boost rail tourism and provide pilgrims from different districts, including Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, an opportunity to visit significant religious sites across the country.

Manish Kumar of IRCTC Saturday told the media in a press conference at Tatanagar Railway Station that this journey will take passengers to Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mata Vaishnodevi in Amritsar, Mathura, Vrindavan, Agra, and Ayodhya.

This is the first time that the Bharat Gaurav train journey includes passengers from these regions of Jharkhand.

Manish Kumar said that the tourist train is scheduled to commence from Kolkata on August 11.

The route will cover Kolkata, Kharagpur, Midnapore, Tatanagar, Purulia Ranchi, Bokaro Steel City Dhanbad, Hazaribagh Road, and Koderma.

The train will also stop at Sasaram and Din Dayal Upadhyay stations to allow pilgrims to board and will return on August 21 after completing the tour of the mentioned religious sites.

The announcement was made by Manish Kumar, the Supervisor of the Tourism Department.
