JNAC Cracks Down on Misused Parking Spaces in Sakchi Gol Chakkar Area

Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) is enforcing the creation of parking areas in commercial buildings in Sakchi Golchakkar to address roadside parking and commercial misuse of basements.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) continued its crackdown on commercial buildings in Sakchi Gol Chakkar Area on Tuesday too. The crackdown targeted the structures that are misusing their basement parking spaces for commercial usage.

This campaign was relaunched on Tuesday with renewed intensity.

JNAC officials said that according to the approved building maps, each commercial building is required to provide a parking area in the basement.

However, they said, many building owners have exploited these areas for commercial purposes, leading to significant profit but crowded roads.

They said that this misuse results in visitors parking their vehicles on the roadside, causing congestion and disruption.

The JNAC had previously issued notices to these building owners who were in violation of the official map guidelines.

While many have since rectified their violation by providing parking lots, some continue to flout the regulations.

As such, the JNAC team took action on Tuesday against those not complying with the order.
