Two-Day SIR-2026 Camps Held at All Polling Booths in District

JAMSHEDPUR – Special assistance camps were organized at all polling booths across the district on July 18 and 20 under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) programme.
The camps aimed to help voters obtain enumeration forms and assisted them with filling, submitting, digitization and mapping-related work. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan inspected several polling booths in the Manpita, Ghorabandha and Burmamines areas on the final day of the camps.
During the inspection, he reviewed the distribution, collection and digitization of enumeration forms by Booth Level Officers. He also assessed the assistance being provided to voters and directed officials to complete the work within the set deadline.
Ranjan said the special camps were meant to provide every eligible voter all possible support in filling and submitting enumeration forms. He added that voters who have not yet submitted their signed forms, whether filled online or offline, should hand them over to their respective BLOs without delay.
This, he said, would ensure timely digitization of the records. He noted that printed enumeration forms had already been delivered door-to-door through BLOs to every voter listed in the current electoral rolls.
He further said cooperation from all voters was essential to ensure timely progress in the draft publication of the voter list. Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner and ERO Anurag Tiwari, Deputy Election Officer Priyanka Singh, booth-level BLOs, BLO supervisors, computer operators and a large number of voters were present during the inspection.
The exercise forms part of the district’s preparations tied to ongoing polling infrastructure upgrades and continues efforts seen in earlier voter awareness initiatives across the district.
