Mandal Committee Plans Collective Resignations Over Membership Dispute

Key Points:

  • Jamshedpur BJP Mandal members express displeasure over district decisions
  • Workers demand recognition of proposed names for membership drive
  • Collective resignations to be submitted to BJP State President soon

JAMSHEDPUR – The BJP Parsudih Mandal held a crucial meeting on Wednesday at the Sarjamda community hall under the leadership of Mandal President Tridib Chattaraj. The gathering addressed dissatisfaction regarding the district leadership’s override of proposed names for the membership drive.

The state leadership had directed the mandal to propose three names for approval. Following consensus, the mandal forwarded the names of Devendra Singh (Mandal General Secretary), Parmakant Karua (District SC Morcha General Secretary), and Dheeraj Sinha (Mandal Minister) to the district committee. However, the district president allegedly ignored this list and approved alternate names through the state leadership.

Workers Oppose Membership Process

Mandal members expressed deep resentment, stating that sidelining their recommendations undermines local leadership. In protest, workers unanimously decided to oppose the membership campaign in the mandal.

A key resolution from the meeting included resignations by Devendra Singh and District Membership In-Charge Dr. Rajeev. Additionally, mandal office bearers, morcha heads, and booth presidents will visit Ranchi to collectively submit their resignations to the BJP State President within two days.

Prominent Leaders in Attendance

The meeting saw significant participation, including former Mandal Presidents Meghlal Tudu and Sujit Ambasth, Shakti Kendra In-Charges Ravinder Singh and Manoj Vishwakarma, alongside prominent workers such as Parmakant Karua, Dheeraj Sinha, Seema Munda, and Radharani Tudu.

Others in attendance included Rajesh Agarwal, Anil Yadav, Santosh Srivastava, Arun Das, Ashok Singh, Deepak Karua, and several booth-level workers. The meeting was conducted by Mandal General Secretary Devendra Kumar Singh.

Workers emphasized their demand for district leadership to reconsider and respect the local mandal’s proposal, reflecting grassroots sentiments.
