RANCHI – Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has provided significant financial relief to over 1.75 lakh farmers through a massive loan waiver scheme.

The CM transferred Rs400 crore directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts via DBT.

Moreover, this initiative took place during an event at Prabhat Tara Ground in Ranchi on Thursday.

Soren emphasized that the gathering was more than just a loan waiver event.

He described it as a celebration of farmers’ dignity and honor.

Furthermore, the CM highlighted that 80% of Jharkhand’s population resides in rural areas.

These residents primarily depend on agriculture for their livelihood.

Soren also addressed the financial challenges faced by farmers in the state.

He poetically stated, "For farmers, their field is their bank, and their barn is their ATM."

Additionally, the CM criticized the central government’s past agricultural policies.

He accused the NDA of attempting to deprive farmers of their rights through "black laws."

Soren praised farmers for their unity during protests against controversial farm laws.

He recalled how farmers surrounded the national capital for over a year in protest.

The CM affirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening farmers’ economic position.

He views the loan waiver as a crucial step towards achieving this goal.

In conclusion, Soren reiterated his administration’s unwavering support for the farming community.
