PM inaugurates railway projects worth ₹660 crore, addresses rally in Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated six Vande Bharat trains and addressed a massive rally in Jamshedpur, criticizing the state government.
Heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions forced Prime Minister Narendra Modi to alter his plans.
He flagged off six Vande Bharat trains online from Ranchi instead of the originally planned Tatanagar location.
The Prime Minister conducted a virtual ‘griha pravesh’ (house-warming ceremony) for 26 lakh beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana across 14 states.
Among these, 644 beneficiaries were from East Singhbhum district.
Modi also released the first installment of funds for 10 lakh PM Awas beneficiaries.
Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for railway projects worth ₹660 crore.
“I apologize for not being able to reach Tatanagar as planned,” said the Prime Minister, addressing the citizens of Jamshedpur.
Traveling by road, Modi reached the historic Gopal Maidan in Jamshedpur to kick off the ‘Parivartan Yatra’.
Thousands of people from various corners of Kolhan gathered to hear the Prime Minister speak.
Despite heavy rainfall, the crowd remained enthusiastic throughout the event.
Modi expressed his delight at seeing the large turnout and addressed the gathering for about half an hour.
Changing political landscape
The Prime Minister began his speech by extending Karma Puja greetings to the people of the state.
He emphasized the deep connection between Jharkhand and the BJP, stating, “The creation of a separate Jharkhand state is a gift from the BJP.”
Modi asserted that only the BJP could truly address the concerns of the tribal population.
“The central government is committed to the development of Jharkhand,” he declared.
The Prime Minister appealed to the people to vote for a BJP government in the upcoming state elections.
He promised, “If you form a BJP government in the state, the central government will spare no effort in nurturing it.”
Criticizing the opposition
From the stage, Modi labeled the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress, and RJD as “three enemies of Jharkhand.”
He claimed that the alliance of these three parties has left the state’s population in distress.
“Corruption is at its peak in the state. The government is neck-deep in corruption,” Modi alleged.
The Prime Minister pointed out that huge amounts of cash were being recovered from the homes of bureaucrats in the state.
“Wherever Congress has laid its hands, it has sunk deep into corruption. Such a government needs to be uprooted,” he stated.
Demographic concerns
Modi warned the people about changing demographics in the Santhal Pargana region.
“The tribal population in Santhal Pargana is decreasing. Tribal lands are being stolen,” he cautioned.
The Prime Minister referred to the Congress as a “school of corruption.”
He appealed for a change in state leadership, citing rampant unemployment as a major issue.
Modi paid tribute to the 15 youths who lost their lives during a recruitment drive and promised a thorough investigation if the NDA forms the government.
Election promises under scrutiny
The Prime Minister criticized the state government’s ‘Maiyaan Samman Yojana’, calling it an election gimmick.
“Distributing money to women before elections is a deception. Corruption is at its peak under the guise of this scheme,” Modi alleged.
A local BJP worker, speaking on condition of anonymity, said, “The Prime Minister’s visit has energized the party cadre. We’re confident of a strong showing in the upcoming elections.”
The event concluded with former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi presenting Modi with a memento and shawl.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the people of Kolhan and greeted former Chief Minister Champai Soren from the stage.
Several BJP leaders, including Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, were present at the event.
