Youth Rally Honors Martyr Khudiram Bose in Jamshedpur

Bike procession draws thousands, calls for national recognition of freedom fighter

A massive bike rally organized by Yuva Buddhijeevi Seva Samiti pays tribute to young revolutionary Khudiram Bose on his martyrdom day.

JAMSHEDPUR – Thousands gathered for a bike rally organized by the Yuva Buddhijeevi Seva Samiti to commemorate the martyrdom day of Shahid Khudiram Bose, a young freedom fighter.

The rally began at Bagunhatu football ground, led by committee president Tarun Dey.

Participants observed two minutes of silence before embarking on the rally route through Sidgora Road Number 28, Agrico Light Signal, and Litti Chowk.

The procession culminated at the Khudiram Bose statue at Mango roundabout, where attendees paid their respects by garlanding the memorial.

Tarun Dey expressed concern that today’s youth were forgetting the sacrifices of martyrs like Khudiram Bose.

"We urge the central government to posthumously award Khudiram Bose the Bharat Ratna," Dey stated during the event.

The committee president also called for declaring a national holiday on Bose’s death anniversary.

Bose sacrificed his life at the age of 18 for India’s freedom movement, a fact emphasized during the rally.

The event saw participation from members of the Banga Bandhu group, who joined the rally at Mango bus stand.

Thousands of participants, including Gurucharan Kisku, Anubhav Sinha, and Surendra Das, attended the commemorative event.

Other notable attendees included Anupam Kumar Singh, Arjun Rao, Ravindra Master, Nageshwar Rao, and Machhinder Nishad.

The rally transformed into a foot-march and bike procession as it approached the Khudiram Bose statue.

Organizers aimed to raise awareness about the contributions of young freedom fighters in India’s independence struggle.

The event highlighted the importance of remembering and honoring national heroes among the younger generation.
