Tata Steel Signs MoU with DTNBWED for Workforce Development

Partnership aims to enhance safety, productivity, and innovation at the workplace.

Tata Steel Technical Services Ltd (TSTSL) and Tata Steel Support Services Ltd (TSSSL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dattopant Thengadi National Board for Workers’ Education and Development (DTNBWED), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

NEW DELHI – Tata Steel Technical Services Ltd (TSTSL) and Tata Steel Support Services Ltd (TSSSL) have formed a strategic partnership with the Dattopant Thengadi National Board for Workers’ Education and Development (DTNBWED) to implement a program that is designed to improve workplace safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.

The MoU was executed by Col. Neeraj Sharma, Director General of DTNBWED, Sandeep Dhir, CEO of TSTSL, and Deepak P. Kamath, CEO of TSSSL.

Sandeep Dhir underscored the significance of this partnership, asserting, "Our commitment to learning and development is fortified by this partnership with DTNBWED, which is consistent with our endeavors to improve the productivity and skills of our workforce."

Deepak Kamath emphasized the program’s scope, stating, "This MoU enables us to capitalize on DTNBWED’s pan-India presence to effectively implement the program, thereby guaranteeing that all of our employees are benefited."

Col. Neeraj Sharma expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, describing it as a significant milestone for DTNBWED, as it is their first MoU with a prominent business organization such as Tata Steel.

The objective of the partnership is to develop and execute a program that will cultivate a culture of innovation, increase productivity, and improve behavioral safety at Tata Steel locations throughout India.
