24-Year-Old Commits Suicide During Kanwar Yatra Preparation in Ulidih

Jamshedpur youth takes his own life as his mother attends Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh meeting.

In a tragic incident in Jamshedpur’s Ulidih area, 24-year-old Vijay Diga, also known as Guddu, committed suicide by hanging himself last night while his mother, Meera Diga, was attending a meeting organized by the Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh.

JAMSHEDPUR – Vijay Diga, a 24-year-old resident of Shankosai Shyam Nagar, allegedly took his own life during the preparations for the Kanwar Yatra organized by the Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh in Ulidih.

The incident occurred late at night when Guddu’s mother, Meera Diga, was at a meeting in Mahendra Marriage Hall.

Around 1:00 AM, Meera Diga informed Vikas Singh about the situation.

Vikas Singh promptly visited her house and reported the incident to Ulidih police station.

Meera Diga, who regularly participates in the Kanwar Yatra organized by Vikas Singh, was preparing for this year’s journey to Sultanganj.

Guddu, who leaves behind a young daughter, was found hanging by a gamcha.

The police arrived at the scene and sent the body for post-mortem on Saturday.
