Young Chess Prodigies Showcase Exceptional Skills at JRD Tata Sports Complex Event

The East Singhbhum District Under-15 Chess Competition, organized by the district chess association, concluded on Saturday at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, with young chess players being honored for their outstanding performances.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a display of exceptional chess skills, young prodigies from across East Singhbhum district participated in the U-15 Chess Competition, leaving spectators in awe of their strategic prowess.

The event, held on Saturday at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, was graced by the presence of chief guest Sanjay Kumar Sahu, Director of ASB Network, and guest of honor Seema Sahu, a prominent businesswoman.

Tournament Director Jayant Kumar Bhuyan and Chief Arbiter Chandan Kumar Prasad oversaw the proceedings, ensuring a fair and competitive environment for the young chess enthusiasts.

NK Tiwary, the general secretary of the East Singhbhum District Chess Association, shared insights into the event, emphasizing the remarkable achievements of the budding chess champions.

The tournament comprised seven rounds in the boys category and five rounds in the girls category, showcasing the depth of talent and dedication among the participants.

In the U-15 girls category, Navieka Jaiswal emerged as the winner, showcasing her exceptional chess skills and strategic thinking.

Aditi Kashyap, Bidushi Munshi, Eshani Choudhary, Pragya Bhardwaj, Anjali Singh, Ananya Kumari, Nandika Sahu, Aadishree Sahu, and Ishani Patra were also recognized for their outstanding performances, highlighting the growing talent pool of female chess players in the district.

The U-15 open category saw Debanjan Sinha crowned as the champion, demonstrating his mastery of the game and ability to outmaneuver his opponents.

Souryadipta Sarkar, Anuj Prakash, Rudra Nil Roy, Abhinav Singh, Arijit Ghosh, Yubraj Singh, Mayan Jha, Rishav Mahali, and Abhigyan Singh also received accolades for their remarkable performances, showcasing the depth of chess talent in the region.

The East Singhbhum District Under-15 Chess Competition served as a platform for young chess enthusiasts to showcase their skills, learn from their peers, and gain valuable experience in a competitive setting.

The event not only celebrated the achievements of the winners but also highlighted the importance of nurturing and supporting young talent in the world of chess.
