Ugandan Golfer Leads Amateur Team to Victory with Score of 51.8

JAMSHEDPUR – Joshua Seale led his amateur team to victory at the TATA Open 2025 Pro-Am event with a winning score of 51.8.

The Ugandan professional golfer partnered with three local amateurs. Pratham Choudhary, Gokul Choudhary and Ajay Kumar Mishra formed the winning team. The quartet dominated the competition held on December 23.

Vinay Kumar Yadav’s team secured the runner-up position. His squad finished with 54.1 points. However, Anil Kumar Shukla, Alam Noori and M K Jha helped Yadav claim second place.

Varun Soni won the longest drive contest. His tee shot on the 8th hole traveled 321 yards. Moreover, the powerful drive earned him the special prize.

Sharat Kumar achieved a remarkable hole-in-one. The closest-to-pin contest on hole number 7 witnessed his perfect shot. In addition, his ace secured him the top prize.

Mrinal Kanti Paul demonstrated exceptional accuracy on hole 17. His tee shot landed just 8.7 inches from the cup. The precision earned him the closest-to-pin award.

Monica Luktuke won the straightest drive competition. Her shot on the 12th hole landed perfectly on center. The ball hit the rope placed in the fairway’s middle.

The Pro-Am event featured multiple skill-based contests. Besides, participants competed across various challenging holes. The Jamshedpur course tested both professionals and amateurs alike.

Tata Steel Adventure Foundation has been promoting sports activities in the region. On the other hand, JRD Tata Sports Complex continues hosting major sporting events. Furthermore, Tata Football Academy recently opened trials for young talent. Meanwhile, Tata Archery Academy athletes have secured medals at international competitions.
