SERAIKELA – A jewellery shop in Rajnagar was burgled late Friday night, triggering anger among residents as CCTV footage exposed clear visuals of the suspects.

The break-in occurred in the Rajnagar police limits. Thieves broke the lock. However, they targeted silver ornaments only. The owner noticed the crime on Saturday.

Police reached the scene quickly. Moreover, officers examined the shop thoroughly. They reviewed CCTV footage for identification. The suspects’ movements appeared clearly.

Locals expressed rising frustration. They said theft cases continue increasing. On the other hand, police have failed to make progress. Residents questioned the security system.

The shopkeeper feared major losses. He estimated heavy damage. Meanwhile, earlier thefts in the area remain unsolved. People blamed ineffective policing.

Recently, a new station in-charge was posted. However, crime incidents still persisted. Residents demanded night patrolling. They sought strict action against repeat offenders.

Earlier theft-related concerns surfaced in district theft cases. Similar patterns appeared in flat theft reports. A separate raid was seen in coil theft cases. Police earlier acted in bike theft crackdowns. Another incident shocked locals in an electronic store heist.
