Gender Equality Seminar Held at Karim City College

NSS Unit Collaborates with Femfuture Collective for Awareness Program

JAMSHEDPUR – Karim City College organized a seminar on gender equality through its NSS Unit collaboration.

The NSS Unit of Karim City College organized a gender equality seminar on November 20, 2025. The event was held in E-Classroom 2. It started at 1 PM.

Femfuture Collective and Women’s Cell of KCC jointly supported the initiative. Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz delivered the welcome speech. He highlighted the importance of gender equality in society.

Moreover, he emphasized the need for awareness and positive change. Dr. Reyaz stressed the role of education in achieving these goals. The principal called for collective action toward equal opportunities.

Nitisha Pandey and Meenakshi, founders of Femfuture Collective, served as keynote speakers. They discussed the youth’s critical role in gender sensitization. The speakers elaborated on the necessity of equal opportunities.

In addition, they addressed various challenges faced by marginalized genders. The presentation included real-world examples and case studies. Interactive sessions engaged students throughout the program.

Dr. Tasneem Kausar, coordinator of Women’s Cell of KCC, addressed the gathering. “Gender equality isn’t merely a social issue,” she stated. “It forms the foundation of sustainable development.”

However, she urged students to remain aware and active. Dr. Kausar emphasized the responsibility of young people. She encouraged them to become change agents in society.

Tushar Kumbhkar anchored the entire program. Dr. Ale Ali, NSS Programme Officer, played a crucial role. Syed Sajjid Parvez, NSS Co-ordinator, contributed significantly to the organization.

Furthermore, Dr. Inayat Bano assisted in making the event successful. The coordination team ensured smooth execution of all segments. Technical support was provided throughout the seminar.

Ayushman Sharma presented the vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to all chief guests and speakers. Teachers and attending students received acknowledgment for their participation.

On the other hand, a large number of students attended the seminar. Participants shared their thoughts on gender equality. Many students discussed their personal experiences and perspectives.

The interactive nature of the seminar encouraged open dialogue. Students asked questions and sought clarifications from speakers. The atmosphere remained conducive to learning and discussion.

Meanwhile, the NSS team thanked all guests and participants. The team concluded the program successfully. The seminar proved to be an inspiring experience for students.

The event increased awareness about gender-related issues among youth. Participants left with renewed commitment toward equality. The college plans to organize more such programs in future.

The college’s NSS initiatives continue to promote social awareness. Previous programs have focused on health awareness and career development. The institution regularly hosts job fairs and educational workshops for student benefit.
