Four Arrested in Gamharia Robbery; Seraikela Police Recover Stolen Goods

Seraikela Police arrest four criminals involved in Gamharia jewelry heist on August 6; stolen items and weapons recovered, officers to be rewarded.

SERAIKELA – Seraikela police have arrested four criminals in connection with the robbery at Ishwarlal Jewelers in Gamharia Lal Building on August 6 and sent them to judicial custody.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Ashish Kumar Singh, Rupesh Jha alias Golu Jha, Anuj Kumar Jha, and Pintu Kumar.

The police recovered a range of items from the criminals, including a gold chain, two gold rings, a 7.62 mm pistol, nine live cartridges, a country-made katta, two live bullets, a gold weighing machine, 50 thousand cash, magazines, five mobiles, a motorcycle, helmet, shoes, slippers, and other materials used in the incident.

SP Dr. Vimal Kumar, giving information about the breakthrough, stated that the success was achieved with the help of technical evidence and continuous detective work by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

All the arrested criminals are professionals and hail from Bihar.

The SP announced that 20 officers included in the SIT team will be rewarded for their exceptional work on this challenging case.

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) was personally monitoring the matter, and according to the authorities, further investigation may uncover more individuals involved in the crime.
