JAMSHEDPUR – A family faced a violent assault near Chidiya Park on Monday after they reportedly opposed harassment by two youths.
The incident occurred in the Telco area. A group allegedly led by Rohit and Roshan attacked the family with sharp weapons. However, the assault escalated quickly.
Nandini Singh suffered minor wounds. Her brother Aniket Kumar Singh and mother Shobha Devi, on the other hand, received grave injuries.
Both were rushed to Tata Main Hospital for treatment. Their condition remains under observation.
Moreover, relatives stated that a similar episode had taken place eight months earlier. They claimed the accused did not change their behaviour despite the past case.
Meanwhile, Telco police reached the site soon after receiving information. Officers began the investigation and started identifying the attackers for arrest.
Besides, similar violent acts have been reported earlier in the same region. Incidents like the open fire near a Gurudwara and a past family attack highlight the pattern.
In addition, a sharp-weapon assault on a couple and a recent shooting case underline rising concerns.
