Fatal Crash on Ranchi-Tata Highway Kills Four

Tribal rally attendees meet tragic end near Gosaidih; 23 others injured in tire blowout accident

JAMSHEDPUR – Four people died and 23 sustained injuries when their vehicle overturned on National Highway 33 near Gosaidih in Bundu on Thursday.

The victims were traveling from Birdih village in Adki. They were heading to attend a tribal anger rally. The rally was organized at Tau Maidan in Bundu.

The vehicle was overtaking a bus coming from Tata. The front tire suddenly burst during this maneuver. The vehicle lost control due to high speed.

It collided with the bus immediately after. The impact sent the vehicle into a roadside ditch. It overturned completely, trapping passengers inside.

Screams filled the air after the crash occurred. Local residents rushed to the accident site. They began rescuing trapped passengers from the wreckage.

Bundu SDPO Om Prakash reached the spot promptly. SDM Kisto Kumar Besra also arrived with his team. Thana in-charge Ramkumar Verma coordinated the rescue operation.

All injured were extracted with local help. They were rushed to Bundu Sub-Divisional Hospital initially. However, critically injured victims needed advanced treatment.

Authorities referred them to Ranchi for better care. Meanwhile, officials are conducting a thorough investigation. The identity of the deceased is being established.

The tribal anger rally was cancelled following this tragedy. Administration has suspended all related activities at the venue.

National Highway 33 connects Ranchi to Jamshedpur. It witnesses heavy traffic throughout the day. Moreover, the stretch near Bundu is accident-prone.

Vehicle safety checks remain crucial on this route. On the other hand, tire maintenance often gets neglected. Furthermore, overtaking on highways requires extreme caution.
